We hope this will be of help to you, but if you still have some queries please Contact us or Book for a package and we will be happy to help!
1.What will it be like?
Adventure holidays are precisely that, and you will be journeying off the beaten track and generally seeing nature at close quarters in some of the most remote, beautiful and memorable parts of the world.
You could journey on foot, in specialized game-viewing vehicles. Accommodation could include a hotel, lodge, Cottages, Bandas and tented camps. You will certainly give your senses an experience they will never forget. The key aspect of your Kamuje Safaris holiday is that you will be traveling with a small group of like-minded people. If you want to understand what a group holiday is all about before you book, we recommend that you talk to us, as we’ve all been on group trips.
Adventure holidays are not for everyone though, and you should be clear that if you are after 5 Star luxury, rest and pampering, then this is probably not the type of holiday for you!
2.Who travels with Kamuje Safaris?
Kamuje safaris has always been popular with travelers of all ages, you are likely to travel with adults from many walks of life, and from all over the world. Kamuje Safaris holidays are very popular with individuals (60%) and couples. Just over half of our travelers (55%) are female.
If you and a group of friends have plans to travel together then Kamuje Safaris would be happy to discuss the organization of a tailor-made tour for a minimum of 8 people. Contact us for details or book now !! .
3.What’s really included in the price?
Your total holiday payment is made up of the tour cost, which you pay before you go, and sometimes a local payment, which you take with you. Some tours don’t include all meals, but we always state clearly, in the brochure or dossier and on the web pages, what extras you can expect. Tips, and personal items like drinks, cigarettes and souvenirs, are not included, of course.
4.Are my flights included in the price?
Our quoted prices are for land-only tours and do not include flights. Flight prices vary from season to season, routing to routing and even weekday to weekend. A separate flight sheet helps us keep current with fares, or offer any special deals that occur. Your Kamuje Safaris travel consultant can provide you with very competitive quotes for international flights. We offer a free arrival transfer from the airport to the tour joining point. Buying flights through us also means we will sort out and pay for any alterations necessary if airline schedules change.
5.How many others will be on the trip?
The maximum size of your group is specified on every tour and varies from 4 to 28 on our African trucks. You may also find that the numbers vary during your trip because individuals combine tour elements (such as the more popular safaris or treks) to take full advantage of Kamuje Safaris flexibility.
6.Who will be leading the trips?
The most important person to determine the success of safari is the guide. We therefore employ qualified, experienced, and very knowledgeable guides who have many years of experience in the field and they can handle all the different needs and requirements of a discerning traveler. They love their country and enjoy introducing to you their unique cultures, people and traditions.
- What happens if I fall ill or injure myself?
Most traveling incidents are relatively minor, involving nothing more than cuts and bruises, or a brief case of traveler’s tummy; our guides are trained to cope with these. In more serious (and rare) cases, we will seek medical assistance locally, or in extremes. This is why we insist on appropriate personal insurance. - Can I arrive early or stay late?
Many people do! With our flexible flight set-up you can take full advantage of your extra time. We will help you arrange all this and more! - How much will I have to get involved?
Our objective is your enjoyment and our local crews are there to meet your needs and our range of tours goes from truck safaris to fully serviced lodge tours. If you select one of the ‘participation’ camping, Games and Sports, Dramma, discotheques adventures you will be expected to take a more active part in the daily life helping with entertaining and teaching but this is all part of the fun! - Will I have to share?
Over 90% of our tours do not charge a single supplement, which is one aspect that makes them popular with individual travelers. We twin individuals with those of the same gender and age range and, where that is not possible, we still don’t charge a supplement. For the small proportion of tours where there is a single supplement then we tell you clearly. And if you actually want a single room, then ask us! - Do you cater for children and families?
Kamuje Safaris holidays are designed for adventurous adults and do not generally cater for under 18s. However we do operate some family adventures, which are specifically aimed at younger explorers traveling with their parents or parent. These have proved to be very popular and successful. Other tours where younger persons are accepted are clearly shown in the brochures.
